Example Title: Current versus voltage for the XYZ device Example Summary: As shown above, the XYZ device has an unusual current versus voltage behavior. As the voltage across the XYZ device increases from minus infinity to +1 volt, the current through the XYZ device increases monotonically. However, as the voltage increases from +1 to +5 volts the current through the XYZ device actually decreases. Above +5 volts the current remains nearly constant with increasing voltage. This indicates the XYZ device is capable of exihibiting positive or negative differential resistance depending on the applied voltage.
